Asafoetida is the dried latex (gum oleoresin) exuded from the rhizome or tap root of several species of Ferula, perennial herbs of the carrot family. It is produced in Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, northern India, and Northwest China (Xinjiang). Different regions have different botanical sources.

I am Maryam Fathian, Export Manager of the Azahing Group, has spent years living in safoetida farms and xtracting this valuable product. My husband and I, driven by love, started working in the field of exporting our produced plants, namely Asafoetida or Hing, about 10 years ago. We named our company Azahing.

Why Azahing?
“Aza” in Persian means possessing a healthy body and soul, and hing; is another name for the plant Asafoetida. This miraculous plant, with its unique properties, is the source of a healthy body and soul for humans.
Since 2013, we have been specialized in this field and have succeeded in having a more principled approach compared to our ancestors, using innovative methods and new technologies to utilize this miraculous substance in its purest form and with the highest efficiency from nature. While ensuring the highest yield with the highest purity, we also aim to protect the plants position in nature. In recent years, Azahing has successfully operated and exported Asafoetida and its processed products to countries such as India, China, and Germany.
