It is produced in Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, northern India, and Northwest China (Xinjiang). Different regions have different botanical sources.

My husband and I, driven by love, started working in the field of exporting our produced plants, namely Asafoetida or Hing, about 10 years ago. We named our company Azahing.
